Yep

Yeah, it's been a while - I understand - I just don't seem to have the dedication. It comes in fads...

Do you know?

Why are the number pads on phones and computer keyboards / calculators the opposite way around?...Something that has bothered me for a while.

It was so nice out yesterday I decided to go for a ride and my shiny new bike. I must admit that I haven't ridden a lot since I've been here...and feeling bad because of it...a little apprehensive with the roads...silly really when I regularly hooned through London traffic.
Anyways, I got my woosy arse from in front of the computer and to the great outdoors. I had to add a little air to the tyres first, and in the process managed to half deflate one d'oh.
Eventually I got out, pack lunch on back, and headed for the park.
After trying to avoid the major road, I inevitably ended up on it...and surprise, I was fine. Quite enjoyed myself in fact :)

I went up to Confederation Park (not too far) rode around, found a skate park and pretended that my bike was a BMX. In true hippy style I settled myself amongst some flowers, read, took some piccies and ate some lunch.
With a desire to see the water I headed out of the park and onto the Trans Canada Trail. For a start it was just alongside the road, nothing particularly special but then I noticed a paths branching off…they were back tracking, so I declined, but took one and the top of the hill that looped around the headland.

The sun was shining through the trees and glinting off the sea…just perfect. The hill that I had to conquer on my bike was a bit of a bitch, but not unexpected….and I did get to freewheel down the other side, and yes, the sound of ‘weeeeeeeee’ may have been utter from my mouth.

I passed some school kids near to the end of the trail (other than that it was just one women and her dog, no mowing equipment in sight) and was shocked that I was the age of the teacher, not the students; I guess that I shouldn’t be.

After that I hit the road again and trolled along home feeling rather good about myself, despite the fading youth.

The evening was filled with meeting Axel and death marching to find some food…all good fun, the meal was great :p

The goodbyes are always hard though and I did bury myself in airline TV for a while. Luckily my single serving friend was an interesting fellow in a similar situation, so that was all good fun. I'm just no good at keeping up to date with these things!! Hoo Hum
